He is Risen!

If you are a Christian then you know the meaning of Easter. For those who are curious, If you look at the definition you will find that it is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus. Jesus is the only son of God. Why would God sacrfice his only son? For all of us. During the Bible days people had to sacrifice an animal in order to receive forgiveness for their sins. When Jesus died he sacrificed his live so now all we have to do is ask for forgiveness and we are forgiven. If God can sacrifice his son for us what are we to sacrifice for him? My answer is evil desires. Judas betrayed Jesus for a few pieces of silver, are we doing the same? Christ asks us to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and all your strength. God asks us to conform to the image of his Son. Are we doing that? Are we making the sacrifices needed to live the way God wants us to live? Do not sell out God for something this is temporary. If what you are doing isn't going to bless you then it isn't going to please God. Most people are conforming to evil desires because they are ignorant to the word of God. We must make sacrificies in order to live holy. Those of us who do know the word of God must inform everyone so that no one is ignorant. God wants us to have a full and blessed life filled with abondant joy and peace. In order to receive it we must live holy. It is hard. At this point in time our desires are publicly displayed on tv, in movies, and on social media but if they aren't going to help us or bless us then we shouldn't fall into the temptation. The reward is so much greater than the temporary feeling of fulfilling a desire. God sacrificed his only son, what will we sacrifice?
