Alone and Happy

We are in a age of social media. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat lets us connect with thousands of people instantly. In some ways it is good and but also it can magnify our fears or insecurities. If you are on Instagram or snapchat and see a party going on or all of your friends are together without you, you may feel excluded, unloved, or unhappy. Your Facebook feed may be full of people getting engaged or having children but you are single and wondering why. Those things could make you feel insecure and fearful that your life isn't going the way you want it to go. You feel if you were invited to be with your friends then you would be happier but mostly that isn't true. No matter how sociable we try and be, sometimes it is best to be alone. Needing to be around people to be loved is a sign that there is something missing in your life. That something missing is Christ. When you have Christ in your heart you will never truly be alone. You will always have a presence with you. Once Christ is with you, He will bring the right people into your life that will help you grow and progress. Maybe you are alone right now because you need to spend time with nothing but your thoughts and learn yourself. Being around the wrong people will negatively impact your life and God is trying to shield you from it by making sure you are alone. Try spending some time alone today. Listen to your thoughts and pray for clarity in your life.

I was just having a conversation similar to this last night.
I’ve learned to appreciate my alone time- It’s not always in focus...there are times I catch myself scrolling my timeline and I’ll come across someone’s picture or video of them doing something I feel as though I should be doing - And if you’re careful the enemy will try to plant a seed of suggestion to get you thinking in another direction and before you know it you’re mind has traveled Off into an area of doubt. BUT IVE learned to not fall into that comparison trap- BECAUSE there’s always a trade off. It’s Like the saying Everything that glitter isn’t gold!

Therefore I remind myself to be content in whatsoever state I’m in -because I know He’s thinking of me!

And He’s going to complete “it”
